Paul is one of our success stories. He's an eleven year old boy from South Korea who studied with us for two months. Because he was immersed in the language and culture, Paul's English skills improved very quickly. Everyone was shocked at how natural his speaking was and how good his comprehension became.
Not only did Paul improve his English, but he also had an experience of a lifetime.
Here are just some of the things Paul did in two months:
-went horseback riding
-went to the beach every week
-played mini-golf at Gordon's Park
-did archery
-visited Toronto
-played baseball on the children's baseball team in the village of Tehkummah
-learned to bake bread and homemade food such as pizza, barbeque, etc...
-went to a Pow Wow and was introduced to First Nations culture and traditions
-visited a farm
-rode a fire truck and wore bunker gear
-made friends with local islanders as well as people from Europe
and the United States
UPDATE ON PAUL
Congratulations to Paul on a job well done!
After returning to South Korea from his summer "study holiday" on the island,
Paul went back to school and was hard at work like most Korean students.
Paul was one of six students in his English academy who won a spot in an English
contest that will be held in Seoul, Korea.
Excellent work, Paul! We're all very proud of you!
