Many English language students have said that they have learned most of their English skills not in the classroom, but with their homestay families or outside of the ESL classroom. The ESL Study Holiday is the combination of homestay and tutoring and is an ideal learning opportunity for international students. English lessons, coupled with hands on experience and living and interacting with a Canadian family is one of the best ways to really learn the language. Not only will students learn and improve their English, but they will also have a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

I had been in Manitoulin Island for 2.5 months with Christine.
I had really good times there and I'm sure if you are going to study English  there, you  made a good decision.

Manitoulin Island is very quiet and has beautiful scenaries and mild weather. At first I thought it would be difficult for me to stay in country side, because I'm a city girl, but I was wrong.  By the time I leave there, I fell in love with Manitoulin Island.

Chrisitine  has degrees in English and has lots of experience in teching ESL students, so she and adjust any levels of students . She leads active class and she encourages her students to speak their idea as much as they can.

I also a English teacher in Korea, and it was impressive to see Christine's teaching using various teaching materials.

I found fun and exciting in her class.

Besids she is outgoing and active person, so she has many friends not only in Island but also in all over the worlds.

When I was there, I could make friends with  English man and  Japanes girls , that was also helpful to improve my English.

She has loving big families, who were all nice to me and mad beautifull memories for me.

I can say Christine was the best English teacher I've ever met.
and I hope you guys have fun in English and staying with her family and friends  like me.

As an international student I experienced the Canadian way of life, I met people from all over the globe and mastered my English as well.
Living in Canada was such a superb event that changed my future forever, along with
the fact that now, I am able to establish professional English conversations. Notwithstanding, having Christine Lee as my English professor, made me have a deeper view of the Canadian culture.
I was taught by Christine’s professionalism and knowledge, how to improve all my verbal and non-verbal English skills. Furthermore, nowadays in Mexico, I am developing myself as an English tutor, putting into practice everything I learned in Canada.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Rodrigo Ascencio. A long, long time ago, I studied in Canada, and one of my teachers was Christine Lee. I have to say that I had a wonderful time learning in her class and I’m so glad that after a long, long time we still keep in touch. I also have to say, that she is a great teacher, because I learnt a lot and she was patient with me and with the other students and always help us with our doubts.
I also had the chance to meet her family-- a beautiful family, a very warm family. Christine and her family have been very special to me. So one day, soon, I will send my daughter to study English with Christine at her school, because I’m sure Samantha, my daughter, will have the best time learning as I had.

Being taught by Christine Lee had made a difference in me, not only in my language skills, but also as a person, I didn’t only find a Teacher in her, I also found a friend and a reliable person as well. It wasn’t just grammar and reading what made me learn English, we also discussed in class about the actual issues that were happening around the world, this was very valuable for me because I could see the broad educational view she had for non-English speakers. I knew that I was in good hands, thank you Christine.
